Obituary of Jacqueline Green

Jacqueline Irene Green died peacefully in Buffalo, New York, on Monday, the sixth of November, 2017, after 84 years of life. She was surrounded by her loving family as she passed from this life to the next. The youngest of six daughters, she was born on the 14th of May, 1933, to John and Hannah Weston in Doyles Brook, New Brunswick, Canada. After completing preliminary studies in New Brunswick, Jacqueline made the decision to begin work, and had several jobs as a typist, as well as a stint in the Canadian army. She relocated to Hamilton, Ontario, and several years later she met her first husband, Benjamin Mogavero, in Buffalo, New York, while out with a girlfriend at Cole's. In 1959 the couple was married in Hamilton; subsequently Jacqueline immigrated to the United States. Following a miscarriage, they had three children together, and were married for 32 years. The couple divorced, and in 1999 Jackie was remarried to James Green, her cherished husband, who accompanied her in her last decades and brought her incredible joy. Among the things that Jacqueline will be remembered for include her deep, undying love, unbridled generosity, and strong faith—which provided immense comfort to her throughout her life. Jackie is survived by her husband James, and her three children Lem, John, and Maria, as well as their respective spouses, Lisa, Michele, and David. She is also survived by James' children, Robin, Jimmy, and Jill, and their respective spouses Jay, Laurie, and Stephen. Her fifteen grandchildren all survive her—Taryn, Zach, Talia, Marissa, Jocelyn, Madison, Jessica, Alexander, Caleb, Collin, Chad, Carly, Nicole, Christian, and Brooks. A memorial service will be held in her honour at the Newman Center in Amherst, New York on Wednesday, the 15th of November, 2017, at 10:00 AM. All are welcome to attend
