Carol A Stevens
Carol A Stevens died Sunday, November 26 after a short illness. Born in Buffalo to Edward S and Laura M Argus, Carol was a life-long resident of Williamsville, Buffalo and her favorite home of Point Abino, Ontario. A graduate of Kenmore High School and the University of Buffalo, she was a member of Theta Chi Sorority and worked at Cornell Labs. Carol was a member of the board of trustees and past president of the Holloway Memorial Chapel, past president of the Buffalo Canoe Club Scorekeepers, former member of the Twentieth Century Club, Saturn Club and Buffalo Canoe Club and board member of the Point Abino Association. Most recently she served on the board of advisors at Asbury Point, an independent living facility. Carol was also a needle point artist who orchestrated the needlepoint cushions for Westminster Presbyterian Church and held a Needlepoint Art Show at the Wilcox Mansion with her fellow “Rippers”. Carol enjoyed sailing on Lake Erie and she and her husband had many bareboat charters in the Caribbean. She is survived by her children Edmund (Trey) D. Stevens, III (Melissa), Bruce A Stevens (Wendy) and Peter M Stevens (Michelle). She is also survived by five grandchildren, Clayton, Graham (Jodee), Elise, Chase and Kent, along with one great grandchild Elliott. A memorial service will be held Thursday, December 28, 2017 at Westminster Presbyterian Church, 724 Delaware Avenue, Buffalo at 11:00 AM.
