Obituary of Brenda Miller
Brenda Joyce Miller was the daughter of the late Mack and Martha Miller. She was born on September 15, 1952 in Buffalo, NY. She graduated from East High School.
She began her career at Model City Agency where she went on to represent the company as a contestant in the first “Ms. United Way of Buffalo and Erie County.” Later on she won first prize in a local Miss Black America contest where she was presented with her award from Buffalo Bills running back O.J. Simpson.
She continued on a path dedicated to improving the lives of others. She was deeply committed to social, gender and racial equality and began working for the Fire Commissioner. She actively campaigned for several Democratic Candidates, often volunteered at the voting polls and assisted others in voter registration.
Brenda was called by God to enter her eternal home on Monday December 18, 2017.
She leaves to cherish her memory a loving daughter: Ronieka Michelle Jeffries (Glenn); three sisters: Thelma (late), Oneice (late) and her devoted surviving sister Carol. She also leaves behind one brother Mack (late), two grandchildren: Briana and Glenn III, and is survived by several nieces, one nephew and a host of cousins.
