Graydon H. Klopp passed away peacefully of natural causes on 7/8/20, at the
VA Nursing Home In Batavia, N.Y. He was a veteran of the Second World War
having proudly served his country in the U.S. Coast Guard. He was the
husband to Muriel Hintermeier Klopp who pre-deceased him. He was the loving
father of Keith (Barbara), Kenneth (Jeanine), and Kurt (Margaret Mayfield-
Klopp); cherished grandfather of Elizabeth Klopp; beloved great-grandfather
of Luciana Valentin. He was brother to his late sister Arlene and late
brother Orvin, and son of the late Royal W. and Doris Klopp.
After the war, he attended the University Of Buffalo studying engineering.
He worked for many years and eventually retired from the John W. Cowper, Co.
of Buffalo, N.Y. He was a life-long sailor and spent summers vacationing
with his family on their boat on the Niagara River and in Lake Erie. Upon
retiring he and his wife sold their home and then lived and traveled on a
larger boat throughout the waterways of the country and made repeated trips
to the Bahamas. He and his wife then lived on and traveled in an RV
throughout the U.S. and Canada, until they eventually bought a home and
settled in a community outside of Leesburg, Florida.
Per his and his late wife's wishes, there will be a small memorial ceremony
for the interment of their ashes in the 'Garden of Memories' at Hawthorne,
at a date yet to be determined. The family requests that in lieu of flowers,
donations be made to The Hawthorne Memorial Fund, 100 Hawthorne Blvd.
