Obituary of Lorriane E. Pompey

Lorraine Elizabeth Pompey (Rain) was born on May 27, 1993 to loving parents Richard L Pompey Sr and Patricia A Clark. Rain was granted her angel wings on September 20,2020.

Rain graduated from middle early college with her high school diploma and her associate degree and later attended Miles college a historical black college in Fairfield Alabama. Rain worked for many years in the insurance industry. She also worked as a flight attendant, a preschool teacher, a notary, and an a financial aid officer at Trocaire College.

Rain’s life would seem too short to many but those who were touched by her understood that the quality of her existence far exceeded the quantity of time she spent on this earth. Her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and her larger than life personality brought so much joy to her family, friends and all who knew her.

Rain lived life at her own pace. When she was first born, her cousin took one look at her and recognized that Rain was a  “old soul”. She was certainly wise beyond her years. She spent her free-time watching classic movies and listening to music 15-20 years before her time. Rain moved to Houston in 2015 and embrassed the adventure of the big city. Family was so important to Rain. Family was everything to her. Her favorite pass time was spending time with her family, laughing, joking, singing and watching movies.

Rain was a selfie queen. She never took a bad picture in her life. Rain loved food and would spend hours watching the food network and mukbang videos on YouTube.

If you know anything about Rain you know that she loved her dogs. Mocha and Marley where her babies. She spoiled them to life.

She is survived by her parents Richard L Pompey Sr (Yolanda Pompey), Patricia Clark, grand father: Richard Brooks, three brother: Paris Robertson (Donique Robertson),Richard L Pompey Jr, and Gino Pompey and one sister: Patrice Pompey, three nephews:Omar, Tyvion, and Rome,  two nieces: Paris and London and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, family and friends.
