Obituary of Kenneth Leftwich
Kenneth James Leftwich of Buffalo, NY departed this Earth on Thursday October 8, 2020. Ken was born on November 28, 1959 in Buffalo, NY to the late Leonard and Shirley (Clark) Leftwich. He attended Hutchinson Central Techinical High School in Buffalo, NY and later transferred to Bennett High School, where he graduated in 1977. He attended Bethune-Cookman University in Daytona Beach, FL after high school. Ken enjoyed a long career at Astronics Luminescent Systems Inc. in East Aurora, NY before retiring in April of 2020.
In recent years Ken discovered a love of traveling and visited many places including Germany, Dubai and Belize. He enjoyed many hobbies over the years including photography and videography. He loved all things technology and made it a point to always be in the know on the latest and greatest. Ken was also a movie buff, a lover of art and music and considered himself a foodie. He enjoyed finding new restaurants to try, as well as cooking his own gourmet meals. His love of technology also followed him into the kitchen, as he could often be found trying out the newest kitchen gadgets.
Ken is survived by his brother Leonard Dennis Leftwich; two children, Nicole Cherié (Leftwich) Walker and Kenneth James Leftwich II (Dominique); four grandchildren, Amaya Ariel Walker, Kenneth James Leftwich III, Netaya Jaylynn Gilbert and Travon Letroy Cochran. A memorial service will be held for Ken at John E. Roberts Funeral Home 280 Grover Cleveland Highway Amherst, NY 14226 on Saturday December 19, 2020 from 11-1. Please wear your mask.
