Obituary of Wanda Patillo
Wanda JoAnn (Hickey) Patillo passed away on March 25, 2021 in Buffalo NY surrounded by her family, She was born on January 8, 1954 in Chattanooga, Tennessee, where she spent most of her childhood. After finishing at South Side High School, she worked several industries, but finally decided to be a Nurse’s Aide. This career choice was very fitting for her because she was always ready and willing to help others.
She enjoyed all types of Arts & Craft, but needle point, cross stitching, sewing, and crocheting seemed to be her favorite. Her other hobbies included, video games, and gardening, shopping, and eating at restaurants. She especially loved spending time with her family, especially her “great-grandbabies.”
JoAnn was preceded in death by her Son, (Montrevelle L. Hickey) her Mother, (Mary E. Hickey) and her Husband, (James E. Patillo.) She leaves to cherish her memory a Son, Kenneth D. Ford (Lucas,) two grandchildren Ti’Quan J. Hickey (Korrina) and Bree Houston. JoAnn will also be missed by her Great Grandchildren Kae’Lani, JaiZelle, TiQuan Jr., and AhZrael.
JoAnn will be remembered for her big smile, her caring soul, her warm heart, and her ability to link people, places, times, and memories. She will be deeply missed.
Interment will be on June 14th, 2021, at 10 am at Greenfield Cemetery Uniondale NY, Repass will be held at 12 noon at Hempstead State Lake park.
